ITINERARY:

Day 01: Arrive Cochin
Morning: On arrival in Cochin, assistance at airport / train station and transfer to hotel. Later enjoy a short guided city tour of Cochin and attend the Kathakali dance. Overnight in Cochin.

Day 02: Cochin - Periyar (Thekkedy)
Drive to Periyar Tiger Reserve. Lunch enroute at a Plantation Bunglow. On arrival in Periyar transfer to Camp. Overnight in Camp.

Day 03 & 04: In Periyar
Trekking through the forest of Thekkedy. Likely to see elephant, Gaur, Sambar, Wild Boars. May see Sloth Bear, Panther and tiger. Overnight in Camp.

Day 05: Periyar - Munnar
Drive to Munnar, a hill station at an altitude of over 5000ft. On arrival in Munnar, camping site at a private forest. Rest of the day free. Overnight in Camp.

Day 06 & 07: In Munnar
Proceed for trekking and camping near Munnar to Silent Valley Plateau at over 4000ft, through the ruggedly beautiful grassland. Overnight in Camp

Day 08: Drive to Cochin
Depart to Cochin for onward destination.
