Swoyambhunath is one of the most popular
attractions in Nepal. It is located
almost 3 kms, west from Kathmandu City.
The temple grounds are inhabited by
monkeys and from here; there are spectacular
views of Kathmandu and the valley below.
Durbar
in Nepali means "Palace" and
in Kathmandu and Patan as well as Bhaktapur,
there are Durbar Squares in front of
the old palaces.
Around the central Durbar Square are
the old Royal Palace (Hanuman Dhoka),
a number of interesting pagodas and
Indian style temples (Sikhara), the
House of Kumari (the living Goddess)
and the Kasthamandap (or wooden house
which is the origin of the word Kathmandu)
and many more things to see and do.
Patan
is one of the major cities in Kathmandu
Valley and is the oldest of the three.
State ruled .You can visit Patan to
have a look and study many beautiful
and interesting arts and architecture
and historic and cultural phenomena.
The
city of Bhaktapur is just a 14 kms
east of Kathmandu. Bhaktapur means
the city of devotees and is a center
of potter and intriguing masks. The
